Fryfogel Arboretum planting Saturday

Stratford Gazette

This Saturday, Oct. 13, will be the first education day planned at the Fryfogel Arboretum.

This is an opportunity for the community to view and participate in a fall planting event and to tour the arboretum located at the site of the historic Fryfogel Tavern.

The arboretum is the newest internationally recognized arboretum and is opening its doors to the public with conducted tours at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Join in the planting of heritage lilac and indigenous apple trees, plants, shrubs and bulbs.

Dress warmly and come accompanied by your gloves and shovel.

Rain day will be the following Saturday, Oct. 20.
