Making your coffee count

Stratford Gazette

The Alzheimer Society of Perth County kicked off its annual Coffee Break fundraiser in Stratford Monday at the two McDonalds locations, where from Sept. 10-16 50 cents from every coffee purchased will be donated to the Alzheimer Society to support local front-line programs and services.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. It is a fatal brain disorder that progressively impacts memory, speech and behaviour.

Now in its 17th year, Coffee Break is the Alzheimer Society’s largest community-based fundraiser that has raised over $14 million for local programs and services.

Additional fundraisers for the Alzheimer Society will be held in Stratford on Sept. 20 at Brenny's Bakery and Sept. 21 at the Bulk Barn.  Shoppers who purchase a cut-out coffee cup at the Bulk Barn on that day will have their donation tripled.
