Run for Sydney

Stratford Gazette

The second annual Sydney Evans Memorial Run and Walk was held Thursday evening, starting on Dunn Road.

Dozens of runners and walkers came out to take on the 3.5 km and 8 km routes while raising money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Sydney Evans died suddenly at age 2 due to a heart defect called cardiomyopathy. Parents Michelle and Dwayne, big brother Eric and baby sister Aubrey are thrilled to have the event held in her memory.

This year's event raised over $21,000 for heart and stroke research.
