Remembering the ultimate sacrifice

Stratford Gazette

Hundreds gathered at the cenotaph Monday morning for Stratford's annual Remembrance Day ceremony, braving cold temperatures and rain to pay their respects to our veterans and active military personnel.

About 45 wreaths were laid by various community organizations – most of which were placed ahead of the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, veterans and cadets marched back to the legion hall. They received a round of applause from the crowds of people who lined the street.
